The Federal
Public Service, Education Service and Police Force Commisions,
confer the pensionable status of Federal public service officers,
which ever is concerned. For those serving the State Civil Service
are done by the relevant State Civil Service Commision, accept for
the state governments of Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, Pulau Pinang and
Perlis which are also managed by Federal Public Service Commision.
For employees of Statutory or Local Authority, the conferment of
pensionable status is managed by JPA as per the provision of
Section6 of Act 239.

Certification of
conferment of pensionable status of an employee who has been
confirmed in the present appointment and did not opt to for
Employees Provident Fund (EPF) must be submitted to JPA a month
before completing three (3) years of reckonable service. The forms
and documents required are as follows:
