Derivative Gratuity
is a lump sum payment to the widow or widower, child and
dependant mother or father of the deceased according to the
following formula:-
7.5% x number of months of reckonable service x last drawn
salary
Share Allocation
Widow/widower/child 9/10 (full rate if no mother/father)
Mother/father1/10 (full rate
if no widow/widower/child)

Derivative
Pension is a monthly payment to
only the widow or widower and child calculated with the
following formula:-
1/600 x number of months of reckonable service x last drawn
salary subject to a maximum of half the last drawn salary
